This guide is for customers who are already using Microsoft 365 (Office 365) integration and want to run a federation test using a different domain name before connecting the domain name they currently use to TrustLogin.
Setup Steps
1. Microsoft 365 (Office 365) Domain Authentication
① Prepare a Domain
Please prepare the domain name you will use. (If you would like a test domain name, please contact us here.)
② Add the Domain Name in Microsoft 365 (Office 365)
-
Log in to the Microsoft 365 admin center, open "Settings > Domains," and click "Add domain."
- Enter the domain name you want to add, then click "Use this domain."
- Select "Add a TXT record to the domain's DNS records" and click "Continue."
- Add the displayed TXT value to the DNS records of your domain service, then click "Verify."
(Configuration example)
Note: The method for configuring DNS records differs depending on your domain registrar. Please refer to your domain registrar's help documentation. It may take up to 72 hours for DNS record changes to propagate. Please wait until the record has propagated.
Note: If you are using a test domain name provided by TrustLogin, please contact us with the TXT value that proves domain ownership.
- Click "Continue."
- Check "Exchange and Exchange Online Protection," then click "Continue."
- Add the MX record, CNAME record, and TXT record information shown on the "Add DNS records" screen to the DNS records of your domain service, then click "Continue."
(Configuration example)
- The domain setup is now complete.
③ Change the Default Domain Name
1. If the domain name you added is set as (Default), federation will not work. You need to set a different domain name as the default domain.
2. Select the domain name you want to set as the default, then click "Set as default."
3. Confirm that the domain name you added no longer shows (Default).
The configuration is now complete.
2. TrustLogin Account Federation Settings
Please refer to the manual below to configure federation and verify that it works correctly.
