How to Configure SAML Authentication for DocuSign

Note: SAML authentication is available on the web browser, desktop app, and mobile app.
Note: You must apply in advance with DocuSign and request the SAML configuration.
Note: You must create a DocuSign account using the same email address as your TrustLogin (formerly SKUID) account.
Note: For the latest configuration steps, please refer to the manual provided by DocuSign.

TrustLogin Admin Page Settings

  1. Log in to TrustLogin, open the "Admin Page > Apps" menu, and click the "Register App" button in the upper right of the screen.

  2. On the "Register Business App" screen, search and select "DocuSign (SAML)."

  3. Under "Identity Provider Information," note down the "Identity Provider URL" and "Issuer/Entity ID," and download the certificate from "Get Certificate." (You will need this later when configuring DocuSign.)

  4. Rename the extension of the downloaded certificate file (.txt) to ".pem."


Now, switch to configuring DocuSign.
Do not click the "Register" button yet — open the DocuSign admin page in a separate tab.

DocuSign Settings

  1. [Domain Settings]
    From the left menu or the icons on the admin home screen, select and open "Domains."

  2. Click "Domain Application," enter the domain name, and then click the "Apply" button.

  3. Note down the displayed "Text Token" and add a TXT record to your domain's DNS records.
    Note: The method for configuring DNS records varies by domain registrar. Please refer to your domain registrar's help documentation. It may take up to 72 hours for DNS record changes to propagate.

  4. After the DNS record has propagated, click "Verify" from the "Actions" dropdown to the right of the domain.

  5. Once the domain is verified, its status changes to "Active."

  6. [Identity Provider Settings]
    From the left menu or the icons on the admin home screen, select and open "Identity Providers."

  7. Click "Add Identity Provider."

  8. Configure each field as follows, and then click the "Save" button to save.

    Name Any name you can identify it by. In this guide, we use "TrustLogin."
    Identity Provider Issuer The "Issuer/Entity ID" you noted down from TrustLogin
    Identity Provider Login URL The "Identity Provider URL" you noted down from TrustLogin
    Enable Third-Party Login Check this if you want to enable login for users with an email domain that is not configured in DocuSign, such as a free email provider.
    Send Authentication Requests Set to "POST"

  9. Open "Add New Certificate," and add the certificate file you downloaded from TrustLogin using "Add Certificate." Once the upload is complete, click the "Save" button to save.

  10. Select "Endpoints" from the "Actions" dropdown to the right of the identity provider you added.

  11. From the endpoint information displayed, note down the "Service Provider Issuer URL," "Service Provider Assertion Consumer Service URL," and "Service Provider Login URL."

Now, return to the TrustLogin admin page.

  1. In the three fields under "Service Provider Settings," enter the information you noted down from DocuSign as follows.

  2. Click the "Register" button to save.

TrustLogin User Settings

① If Users Add the App from My Page

  1. On "My Page," click the "Add App" button.
  2. On the "Register App" screen, select "DocuSign (SAML)" and click the "Next" button in the upper right of the screen.
  3. If you want to change the "Display Name," enter a new one, and then click the "Register" button.
  4. Click the app from "My Page" or the browser extension, and confirm that login is successful.

② If an Administrator Adds Members

  1. In the "Admin Page > Apps" menu, search for and click the "DocuSign (SAML)" app.
  2. Click "Add Member," select the users to add from the member list, and click the "Register" button to add them.

How to Log In

For the first login only, follow the steps below to log in.

  1. Open "DocuSign (SAML)" from TrustLogin's My Page or the browser extension. Enter your password on the DocuSign login page that appears.

  2. For "Two-Step Verification," select "Email" as the verification method. Enter the verification code sent to your email address and click the "Confirm" button.

  3. Click "Agree."

  4. Login is now complete.
    From the second login onward, opening "DocuSign (SAML)" from TrustLogin's My Page or the browser extension will complete login via SAML authentication.
