By creating groups for departments, projects, etc. and assigning members to them, you can more easily add and manage the apps used by new employees when they join or by different departments.
Creating a Group
- After logging in to TrustLogin, open "Admin Page > Groups" and click the "Add Group" button.
- Enter the group name and a group description (optional), then click the "Create" button to finish.
Assigning Apps
- Open "(the group you created) > Add App".
- Select an app from the list, or search for it by name, and click the "Add" button to add it.
- The app has been assigned to the group.
Adding Members
Manually Adding Members to a Group
- Open "(the group you created) > Add Member".
- Select a member from the list, or search for a member, and click the "Register" button to add them.
- The member has been assigned to the group.
Automatically Adding Members to a Group (by Condition)
By setting up an automatic assignment rule for a group, you can automatically assign members to that group.
Note: This feature is available only on the Pro Plan.
Note: Assignment rules can only be set for groups that have no members assigned.
Note: Members created through AD integration can also be targeted for automatic assignment.
Examples of use:
・If "Department" is "Sales", assign to the "Sales" group.
・If the role is "App Administrator", assign to the "app-admin" group.
・If "Email Address" is not empty (i.e., everyone), assign to the "all" group.
- Open "Settings > TrustLogin Feature Restrictions" and turn off "Allow members to edit their profile." (This prevents members from being automatically assigned to a group unintended by the administrator.)
- Open the group for which you want to set an automatic assignment rule, then open the "Automatic Assignment Rules" tab.
Note: This is not displayed for the Free Plan or for groups that already have members assigned. If you remove all members, the "Automatic Assignment Rules" tab will be displayed again.
- Select a user attribute from the dropdown and click "Create Rule."
- Select the matching condition from the dropdown and enter a value.
- To specify multiple conditions, add them in the same way and specify "AND / OR / NOT."
AND When all conditions are met OR When any condition is met NOT When none of the conditions are met - Click "Save," and when the confirmation message appears, select "Yes."
- Members who meet the conditions will be assigned.
Note: If there are many target members, it may take some time for the add/remove processing to complete even after the log is displayed.
Note: After a rule is created, newly created users who match the assignment conditions will also be automatically assigned to that group.
Note: After a rule is created, members can no longer be added manually.
Note: Any apps, authentication, and restriction methods already assigned to the group apply to all members.
Note: After a rule is created, conditions can still be added or removed.
To remove a condition, use the trash can icon to the right of the condition.
Whenever you change a condition, click the "Save" button to save it.
If you remove all conditions, members can be added manually again.
