Identity Provisioning Setup for Aiven

This page explains the initial setup steps for provisioning identities to Aiven,
using TrustLogin as the identity source.

Note: For detailed instructions on using Aiven, please refer to the documentation provided by Aiven.

Setup Steps

Aiven-side Configuration

  1. After logging in to Aiven, click "Admin" in the top menu.

  2. Click "Identity providers" in the left-hand menu.

  3. Click the target identity provider.

  4. Click "Edit" in the "SCIM provisioning" section.

  5. Click the copy icon next to "Base URL" to copy it.

  6. Click the refresh icon next to "Access token".

  7. In the confirmation dialog, click "Generate new token".

  8. Click the copy icon next to the displayed token to copy it.
    Note: This token cannot be displayed again, so be sure to copy it on this screen.

  9. Click "Close".

    This completes the preliminary setup on the Aiven side. Next, configure the TrustLogin side.

TrustLogin-side Configuration

  1. Log in to the TrustLogin Admin Page, and from the "Admin Page > Settings > Optional Features" menu,
    click "Settings" to the right of "Identity Provisioning" to open it.

  2. Click "Add Service", enter something like "aiv" in the search field, select "Aiven", and click the "Add" button.

  3. You will be redirected to the "Identity Provisioning > Aiven" page.
    Click the "Edit" button.

  4. Enter the following values in "Access Settings", and click the "Register" button.

    Connection URL The "Base URL" value copied in step 5 of Aiven-side Configuration
    Access Token The value copied in step 8 of Aiven-side Configuration

  5. Click the "Connect" button at the top right of the screen.

  6. Once the button status updates to "Connected", the initial setup is complete.

About Values Configurable in Attribute Mapping

You can link any attribute on the TrustLogin side with any attribute on the Aiven side.

Setup Steps

Aiven-side Configuration

  1. Log in to the TrustLogin Admin Page, and from the "Admin Page > Settings > Optional Features" menu,
    click "Settings" to the right of "Identity Provisioning" to open it.

  2. Click "Add Service", enter something like "aiv" in the search field, select "Aiven", and click the "Add" button.

  3. You will be redirected to the "Identity Provisioning > Aiven" page.
    Click the "Edit" button.

  4. Enter the following values in "Access Settings", and click the "Register" button.

  5. Click the "Connect" button at the top right of the screen.

  6. Once the button status updates to "Connected", the initial setup is complete.
