How to Configure SAML Authentication for Teachme Biz

  • Prior configuration in Teachme Biz is required.
  • You must create an account in Teachme Biz using the same email address as TrustLogin.
  • For the latest configuration steps, please refer to the manual provided by Teachme Biz.

TrustLogin Admin Page Settings

  1. Log in to TrustLogin, open the "Admin Page > App" menu, and click the "Register App" button in the upper right of the screen.

  2. Search in the "Register Company App" screen and select "Teachme Biz (SAML)".

  3. Download the metadata by clicking the "Download metadata" button under "Identity Provider Information".03.png

Now proceed to the Teachme Biz configuration.
Do not click the "Register" button yet — open Teachme Biz in a separate window.

Teachme Biz Settings

  1. Log in to Teachme Biz, click the profile icon in the upper right of the screen, and click "Group Settings".

  2. Open the "Authentication" tab, configure the settings as shown below, and save.

    Single Sign-On Setting Select "Others"
    Login Method We recommend leaving this unchecked the first time you configure SAML
    Note: If checked, login will only be possible via SAML authentication, and password login will no longer be available.
    Metadata Upload Upload the metadata you noted down from TrustLogin
    Start URL Copy and note it down if needed
    Entity ID Copy and note it down
    ACS URL Copy and note it down
    Logout URL Copy and note it down

Return to the TrustLogin Admin Page.

TrustLogin Admin Page Settings (Continued)

  1. Configure the "Service Provider Settings" as follows.

    Entity ID The "Entity ID" you noted down from Teachme Biz
    ACS URL for Service The "ACS URL" you noted down from Teachme Biz
    Logout URL The "Logout URL" you noted down from Teachme Biz
    Note: Single logout is planned as a future feature addition, but it is not yet implemented and does not currently work

  2. Click the "Register" button to save.

TrustLogin User Settings

① When a User Adds the App from My Page

Note: The SAML app must be configured by an administrator in advance.

  1. On "My Page", click the "Add App" button.
  2. On the "Register App" screen, select "Teachme Biz (SAML)" and click the "Next" button in the upper right of the screen.
  3. If you want to change the "Display Name", enter it and click the "Register" button.

② When an Administrator Adds Members

  1. Search for the "Teachme Biz (SAML)" app in the "Admin Page > App" menu and click on it.
  2. Click "Add Member", select the user to add from the member list, and click the "Register" button to add them.

Native App Login Method

  1. Open the native app and enter the "Group Name".

  2. Clicking "Log in via Single Sign-On" will start the SSO login.
    Note: If "Limit to Single Sign-On" is checked under "Login Method" in "Teachme Biz Settings >2.", this screen will not be displayed and SSO login will start
    automatically.

SP-Initiated Login Method

  1. Open the start URL you noted down in "Teachme Biz Settings >2.", and enter the "Group Name" for Teachme Biz.
    Note: If you access using a URL that includes your Teachme Biz tenant ID (e.g., https://teachme.jp/xxxxx/login),
    you do not need to enter the group name.

  2. Click the "Log in via Single Sign-On" login button on the right to start the SSO login.
    Note: If "Limit to Single Sign-On" is checked under "Login Method" in "Teachme Biz Settings >2.", this screen will not be displayed and SSO login will start
    automatically.
