This page describes the initial setup steps for using TrustLogin as the source of identity
to perform Identity Provisioning to Docusign.

How to Configure SAML Authentication for Docusign

  • The Identity Provisioning configuration created in this procedure can be linked to an existing SAML app.

Setup Steps

Docusign Settings

  1. Log in to Docusign with administrator privileges, then from the left-side menu go to "Access Management > Identity Providers".

  2. Click the "User Provisioning" tab.

  3. In the "SCIM Sync" section, click the "Generate SCIM Credentials" button.

  4. On the "SCIM Configuration" screen,
    select the Docusign account to use for SCIM provisioning from the "Select Account" dropdown menu.

  5. Click the "Save and Continue" button.

  6. Click the "Generate Token" button.

  7. On the "Authentication Details" screen, copy the following information.
    (The token will not be displayed again. Please make sure you have not missed copying it.)

    • "Base URL"
    • "SCIM Bearer Token ID"

  8. Click the "Close" button.

  9. Click the "Done" button.

  10. In the "SCIM Sync" section, confirm that the SCIM configuration you created shows an "Enabled" status.

This completes the preparation on the Docusign side. Next, configure the settings on the TrustLogin side.

TrustLogin Settings

  1. Log in to the TrustLogin Admin Page, and from the "Admin Page > Settings > Optional Features" menu,
    open "Settings" next to "Identity Provisioning".

  2. Click "Add Service".

  3. Search for and select "Docusign", then click the "Add" button.

  4. You will be redirected to the "Identity Provisioning > Docusign" page.
    Click the "Edit" button.

  5. Open "Access Settings", enter the following values for the setting items, and click "Save".

    Connection URL Docusign Settings > the "Base URL" you copied in step 7
    Access Token Docusign Settings > the "SCIM Bearer Token ID" you copied in step 7

  6. Click the "Connect" button.

  7. Once the button status updates to "Connected", the initial setup is complete.

Values You Can Configure in Attribute Mapping

The following values can be specified as default functions for Docusign.

Value Description
Full name Full name with the last name first.
Full name with first name first Full name with the first name first.
Username from email Takes the portion of the email address before the @ and limits it to a maximum of 21 characters.
