Initial Setup Steps for Identity Provisioning with DatoCMS

This page describes the initial setup steps for using TrustLogin as the source of identity
to perform Identity Provisioning to DatoCMS.

Setup Steps

DatoCMS Settings

  1. Log in to DatoCMS and click "Enter project".

  2. Click "Project settings" in the upper right of the screen.

  3. Click "Setting" on the left side of the screen.

  4. Click "Generate API token".

  5. An "API Token" will be generated. Please copy the value. (This will be used in the TrustLogin settings)
    Note: The token cannot be viewed again. Please make sure you have copied it before proceeding.

    This completes the preparation on the DatoCMS side. Next, configure the settings on the TrustLogin side.

TrustLogin Settings

  1. Log in to the TrustLogin Admin Page, and from the "Admin Page > Settings > Optional Features" menu,
    open "Settings" next to "Identity Provisioning".

  2. Click "Add Service".

  3. Select "DatoCMS" and click the "Add" button.

  4. You will be redirected to the "Identity Provisioning > DatoCMS" page.
    Click the "Edit" button.

  5. Open "Access Settings", enter the following values for the settings items, and click "Save".

  6. Click the "Connect" button.

  7. Once the button status updates to "Connected", the initial setup is complete.

Values You Can Configure in Attribute Mapping

The following values can be specified as default functions for DatoCMS.

Value Description
Full name This is the full name with the last name first.
Full name with first name first This is the full name with the first name first.
Username from email Retrieves the portion of the email before the @ and limits it to a maximum of 21 characters.
