Error Messages Related to IP Address Restriction
--------------------------------------
--------------------------------------
- Not an allowed IP address
Normally, this error message is displayed when logging in to TrustLogin if access is detected from an IP address other than one that has been registered in advance. This is normal behavior, since access from IP addresses that are not allowed is denied.
However, if this error message appears even though you are logging in from an allowed IP address, here are some possible causes.
- Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are in use, but only one of them has been allowed
TrustLogin's IP address restriction determines access based on the IP address you are connecting from at the time of login. Depending on how IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are used, the following solutions are available.
- If access may occur from either type of IP address, register both the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses as allowed IP addresses.
- Disable one of the IP address types in your device settings, or configure your device to prioritize one over the other.
Note: Licenses for the IP address restriction option are consumed on a per-user basis, not based on the number of registered IP addresses, so there is no need to worry about this.
Note: If you are a user who can view reports on the Admin Page, you can check the logs to see which IP address caused the error. If necessary, please take action such as adding the blocked IP address to the allow list.
