How to Set Up SAML Authentication for Salesforce

  • You can link the identity provisioning configuration created in this procedure to an existing SAML app.
    For details on the SAML app configuration, please seehere.

Setup Procedure

Connect TrustLogin to Salesforce

  1. Log in to the TrustLogin Admin Page, and from the "Admin Page > Settings > Optional Features" menu,
    open "Settings" to the right of "Identity Provisioning".

  2. Click "Add Service".

  3. Search for "Salesforce", select it, and click the "Add" button.

  4. You will be redirected to the "Identity Provisioning > Salesforce" page.
    Click the "Connect" button.

    Note: By default, this action will take you to "https://login.salesforce.com/".
     If you want to specify a destination URL, configure "Access Settings > Destination URL" beforehand.

  5. You will be redirected to the Salesforce page.
    Enter your administrator account login information and click the "Log In" button.

  6. The Salesforce page continues to be displayed; click the "Allow" button.

  7. You will move to the "Select Salesforce Profile" screen.
    Select any profile from the dropdown.
    Note: The profile selected in this step will be applied to users on Salesforce.

  8. Click "Add".

  9. Once the button status changes to "Connected", the initial setup is complete.

About Values Available for Attribute Mapping

The values that can be specified as default functions for Salesforce are as follows.

Value Description
Full Name This is the full name with the surname first.
Full Name with Given Name First This is the full name with the given name first.
Username from Email Retrieves the part of the email before the "@" and limits it to a maximum of 21 characters.

Alias

Processes the email address, removes all special characters, and adds random characters to make it 8 characters long.

Community Nickname

Generates a random 40-character string starting with "TLUser".
