How to Use One SAML Authentication Configuration Across Multiple Apps

When multiple services are linked to a single set of credentials, such as with Google, Microsoft 365, or Atlassian, following the steps below will make logging in to multiple apps smoother.

Example: Authenticate with the Atlassian Cloud SAML app, then log in to linked services such as Jira, Confluence, and Trello.

Configuration Steps

1. Configure the SAML Settings for the App

Please refer to How to Configure SAML Authentication and configure the SAML app.

2. Configure Bookmarks for Each Linked Service

Register bookmarks for each linked service using the bookmark template.

3. Create a Group to Assign the App To

Create a group for assigning apps. (You can also use an existing group.)

4. Assign the SAML App and Bookmarks to the Group

Assign the SAML app from step 1 and the bookmarks from step 2 to the group you created in step 3.

5. Add Members to the Group

By assigning members to the group, they will be able to use all the related apps together.

After authenticating with the SAML app, you can access each linked service from the bookmark icon.
