CSV Member Management (Bulk CSV Registration, Editing, and Deletion of Members)

CSV import lets you bulk register, update, or delete Members.
Note: This feature does not support setting a password or a secret question when registering Members.
If you need to use those options, please register Members using "Bulk Member Registration" instead.
Note: A TrustLogin Pro Plan subscription is required to use this feature.

How to Use

  1. Log in to TrustLogin, open the "Admin Page > Members" menu, and click the "CSVMember Management" item.

    \u2460 If you are only registering Members
    Download the template file from "here" and proceed through step 4.


    \u2461 If you are updating or deleting Member information
    Click "Generate CSV File".


    A message indicating that CSV file generation has started will be displayed.


  2. Once the CSV file is ready, an email titled "CSV File Ready Notification" will be sent to you.
    You can then download the CSV file from "Download Generated CSV File".


    A list of all Members currently registered is retrieved in CSVfile format.

  3. The CSV file fields are as follows.
    The required fields differ depending on the action used when uploading the CSV file.
    Note: For AD-integrated/SCIM IdP-integrated Members, only the secondary email address, Login ID, and permissions can be changed. Other Member information cannot be changed or deleted using this feature.

  4. Create a file according to your purpose.
    Note: This file must use UTF-8 character encoding. If editing in Excel, import it using "Get Data" > "From Text/CSV" from the "Data" menu.
    Note: CSV Member Management cannot be used to update or delete your own account (the currently logged-in user).
    Please remove your own account information from the CSV file before uploading.

    - Registering a new Member
    In a new row of the downloaded template file,
    set the "Action" field to "CREATE" and enter the fields required for the CREATE request along with any optional fields.

    - Updating Member information
    In the downloaded CSV file, delete the rows for any Members you are not updating,
    then set the target Members' "Action" field to "UPDATE" and edit the fields you want to change.
    Note: If a field in the uploaded CSV is left blank, its value will be deleted. (Updated May 10, 2022)

    - Suspending a Member
    In the downloaded CSV file, delete the rows for any Members you are not suspending,
    then set the target Members' "Action" field to "UPDATE" and the "Active" field to "FALSE".

    - Deleting a Member
    In the downloaded CSV file, delete the rows for any Members you are not deleting,
    then set the target Members' "Action" field to "DELETE".
    Note: When deleting a Member using this feature, the Member is deleted immediately without first being suspended. Please proceed with caution.
  5. Save the file in CSV format with UTF-8 character encoding.

  6. After creating the file, upload it using "Select File" \u2192 "Upload".


    If everything looks correct, select "Yes".

  7. Once the CSV file upload finishes and the changes are applied, the status will change to "Complete" and the completion time will be
    updated.
    An email titled "CSV Member Management Processing Complete Notification" will be sent to the administrator.


About Errors

Errors During Upload

- This occurs when the file format is incorrect (not in .csv format).
Status: Failed
Error message:
The file could not be uploaded because there is a problem with it.
Please edit the CSV file obtained from "Download Generated CSV File" and upload it again.

\u3000- This occurs when the file format is correct but a required field has been left blank.

\u3000\u3000Note: This occurs when the Action field is blank or contains an invalid value, or when a required user attribute (last name, first name, or email address) is missing.
Error message:
The CSV file contains errors. Please correct them.

    then set the target Members' "Action" field to "DELETE".
    Note: When deleting a Member using this feature, the Member is deleted immediately without first being suspended. Please proceed with caution.
  5. Save the file in CSV format with UTF-8 character encoding.

  6. After creating the file, upload it using "Select File" \u2192 "Upload".
