How to Configure SAML Authentication for Writer

  • Before configuring SSO, you must ask Writer's support team (support@writer.com) to add the domain of the email addresses for which SSO will be enabled.

Notes

Note: For iOS - Default Browser (Safari) and iOS - TrustLogin Mobile App In-App Browser, clicking the app will redirect you to the Writer login screen. After clicking the SSO button and entering your email address, you can log in via SSO.

TrustLogin Admin Page Configuration

  1. Log in to TrustLogin, open the "Admin Page > App" menu, and click the "Register App" button in the upper right of the screen.

  2. Search in the "Register Company App" screen and select "Writer (SAML)".

  3. Download the metadata using the "Download Metadata" button under "Identity Provider Information", and save by clicking the "Save" button.

Writer Configuration

  1. Open "Admin > Single sign-on".

  2. On the "Select your Identity Provider (IdP)" screen, select "Other IdPs" and click "Next".


  3. Click the "Browse" button and upload the metadata obtained from TrustLogin.


  4. Save by clicking the "Done" button.


  5. Turn on "Allow password-only sign in" under "Sign in with password".
    Note: Turning this off restricts the login method to SAML only, but we recommend switching it only after confirming the SAML connection succeeds and notifying your users.



TrustLogin User Settings

① When a user adds the app from My Page

  1. On "My Page", click the "Add App" button.
  2. On the "Register App" screen, select "Writer (SAML)" and click the "Next" button in the upper right of the screen.
  3. If you want to change the "Display Name", enter it and click the "Save" button.

② When an administrator adds members

  1. Search for and click the "Writer (SAML)" app in the "Admin Page > App" menu.
  2. Click "Add Member", select the user to add from the member list, and click the "Save" button to add them.
