How to Configure SAML Authentication for RemoteOperator Helpdesk

Prior Confirmation

  • Prior configuration in RemoteOperator Helpdesk is required.

  • You need to create an account in RemoteOperator Helpdesk using the same email address as your TrustLogin account.

  • SSO login is available for both the RemoteOperator Helpdesk admin tool and console.
  • For the latest setup instructions, please refer to the manual provided by RemoteOperator Helpdesk.

TrustLogin Admin Page Settings

  1. Log in to TrustLogin, open the "Admin Page > App" menu, and click the "Register App" button at the top right of the screen.

  2. On the "Register Company App" screen, search and select "RemoteOperator Helpdesk (SAML)".

  3. Download the metadata using the "Download Metadata" button under "Identity Provider Information".03.png

At this point, switch to configuring the RemoteOperator Helpdesk side.
Do not click the "Register" button yet; open RemoteOperator Helpdesk in a separate window.

RemoteOperator Helpdesk Settings

  1. Log in to the RemoteOperator Helpdesk admin tool and open "Single Sign-On".
    Select "Check Email Address Configuration Status" to check for users whose email address is not set or is duplicated.
    Note: Users whose email address is not set or is duplicated cannot log in via single sign-on.

  2. Click "Edit".

  3. Configure "Enable Settings" and "Identity Provider Information" as follows, and finally click "Import".
    SAML Authentication ON
    Restrict Sign-In to SAML Authentication Only

    Turning this ON will disable password login. We recommend leaving it OFF during setup and turning it ON after confirming that SAML authentication succeeds.

  4. Click "Export Metadata" under "Service Provider Information" to download the RemoteOperator Helpdesk metadata.

Return to the TrustLogin Admin Page again.

  1. Configure "Service Provider Settings" as follows.
    Login URL

    Enter RemoteOperator Helpdesk's "Contractor Code" in the blank field

    Metadata Upload the RemoteOperator Helpdesk metadata

  2. Save by clicking the "Register" button.

TrustLogin User Settings

① When a User Adds the App from My Page

  1. On "My Page", click the "Add App" button.
  2. On the "Register App" screen, select "RemoteOperator Helpdesk (SAML)" and click the "Next" button at the top right of the screen.
  3. If you want to change the "Display Name", enter it and click the "Save" button.

② When an Administrator Adds Members

  1. In the "Admin Page > App" menu, search for and click the "RemoteOperator Helpdesk (SAML)" app.
  2. Click "Add Member", select the user to add from the member list, and click the "Save" button to add them.
