Centrally Managing Single Sign-On for Multiple Google Workspace (G Suite) Accounts with Different Domains Using TrustLogin

Many cloud services require "separate management for each domain." Google Workspace (G Suite), provided by Google, is one such service, requiring separate management for each domain. Cloud services also have the inconvenience of requiring passwords to be set individually.

By using TrustLogin's "External IdP Integration" feature, you can not only log in to TrustLogin using your Google Workspace (G Suite) ID and password, but also centrally manage users across domains for the single sign-on feature provided by TrustLogin. This is explained below.

1. Enabling TrustLogin's External IdP Integration Feature

The following plans are available for using the External IdP feature with TrustLogin.

  • PRO Plan (300 yen per user/month, 30 or more users)
  • Free Plan (External IdP option: 100 yen per user/month, no limit on number of users)

Please check the TrustLogin pricing and features page, then select and sign up for the plan that best suits your needs.

2. Configuring the External IdP Integration Feature

First, please refer to the Google Workspace (G Suite) External IdP Integration Setup page and configure the integration between G Suite and TrustLogin.

3. Adding Multiple Domains for External IdP Integration

TrustLogin has the feature of being able to centrally manage users belonging to multiple domains, and the same applies to External IdP Integration. Within a single TrustLogin management structure, you can have multiple Google Workspace (G Suite) accounts from different domains coexist and be centrally managed.

As for the procedure, simply refer to the Google Workspace (G Suite) External IdP Integration Setup page introduced earlier, and perform the same steps for another Google Workspace (G Suite) domain.

The image above shows that the domain "sample-corp.com" and the different domain "sample-tech.jp" have both been successfully registered in the TrustLogin Admin Page via the External IdP administration screen. Since different domains require different authentication credentials, different values are entered for the "SSO URL" and "Entry ID."

Additionally, an External IdP Integration license is required for each domain you add, but there is technically no limit to the number of domains that can be managed. Therefore, this feature can be used with confidence even by companies with many subsidiaries or affiliated companies.
