How to Configure SAML Authentication for DocBase

Note: Advance setup in DocBase is required.

Note: You must create a DocBase account using the same email address as your TrustLogin (formerly SKUID) account.

Note: For the latest setup instructions, please refer to the manual provided by DocBase.

TrustLogin Admin Page Settings

  1. Log in to TrustLogin, open the "Admin Page > Apps" menu, and click the "Register App" button at the top right of the screen.

  2. Search on the "Company App Registration" screen and select "DocBase (SAML)".

  3. Click "Download Metadata" in the "Identity Provider Information" section to download the metadata. (You will need this later when configuring the settings on the DocBase side.)

At this point, switch to the settings on the DocBase side.
Without clicking the "Register" button, open the DocBase Admin Page in a separate tab.

DocBase Settings

  1. Click the "Settings" button on the left, and select "Single Sign-On".

    Upload the metadata you downloaded in step 3 of "TrustLogin Admin Page Settings" above to "STEP1 Upload Identity Provider Metadata". Confirm that the "Entity ID", "Target URL", and "IdP Certificate" fields below are automatically populated.

  2. Note down the "Assertion Consumer Service URL" and "Issuer" in "STEP2 Download Service Provider (DocBase) Metadata".

  3. In "STEP3 Enable Single Sign-On", check the "Enabled" checkbox, then click the "Save" button to complete the setup.

Now, return to the TrustLogin Admin Page.

4. In "Service Provider Settings", register the information you noted in step 2 of "DocBase Settings" above
   as follows.
   

For "Login URL", enter [ "https://" + Entity ID ]
For "Entity ID", enter the subdomain portion of "Issuer",
   For "ACS URL for the Service", enter the subdomain portion of "Assertion Consumer Service URL"

5. Click the "Register" button.

TrustLogin User Settings

① When a User Adds the App from My Page

  1. Click the "Add App" button on "My Page".
  2. Select "DocBase (SAML)" on the "App Registration" screen, then click the "Next" button at the top right of the screen.
  3. If you want to change the "Display Name", enter a new one, then click the "Register" button.
  4. Click the app from "My Page" or the "browser extension", and confirm that login succeeds.

② When an Administrator Adds a Member

  1. In the "Admin Page > Apps" menu, search for the "DocBase (SAML)" app and click it.
  2. Click "Add Member", select the user you want to add from the member list, then click the "Register" button to add them.

Now, return to the TrustLogin Admin Page.

4. In "Service Provider Settings", register the information you noted in step 2 of "DocBase Settings" above
