This page introduces the steps for members to register an authenticator on macOS.

Depending on your OS or browser settings, the screens shown below may differ.
Note: MacOS requires iCloud Keychain to be enabled in order to use it as a FIDO authenticator.
Note: Since Apple ID and iCloud Keychain are recognized as a single authenticator, if an authenticator has already been registered on either macOS or iOS, authentication is possible from any device when using the same ID.
Setup Instructions

Subject: [GMO TrustLogin] FIDO Passwordless Authentication - Request to Register an Authenticator
Open the authenticator registration URL included in the email on your Mac.
The URL included in the email has an expiration period (24 hours by default; this can be changed in settings).
If the URL has expired and is no longer valid, or if you are unable to receive the email for some other reason, you can regenerate the URL by having the email resent.
Please ask your administrator to resend the email.
- Enter an authenticator name of your choice and click "Register."
- Select where to save your passkey.

For iCloud Keychain:
Sign in.
For iPhone, iPad, and Android (screens show the iPhone example):
Scan the QR code and continue on your mobile device.
Tap "Save passkey," which is displayed on your mobile device's camera screen, to sign in.
Once authentication on your mobile device is complete, the screen on your Mac will advance.
For external authenticators:
Insert it into your Mac and enter your PIN.
(If a PIN has been set for identity verification) - Once authentication is complete using any of these methods and the following message is displayed, registration is complete.
