How to Configure SAML Authentication for BugSnag

  • Prior configuration on BugSnag is required.

  • You must create an account on BugSnag using the same email address as in TrustLogin.

  • For the latest configuration steps, please refer to the manual provided by BugSnag.

TrustLogin Admin Page Configuration

  1. Log in to TrustLogin, open the "Admin Page > Apps" menu, and click the "Register App" button in the upper right of the screen.

  2. Search on the "Register Corporate App" screen and select "BugSnag (SAML)".

  3. Download the metadata using the "Download Metadata" button under "Identity Provider Information".03.png

At this point, switch to configuring the BugSnag side.
Do not click the "Register" button yet. Please open BugSnag in a separate window.

BugSnag Settings

  1. Log in to BugSnag with an account that has administrator privileges, and select "Organization settings".

  2. Select "Organization > Single sign-on".

  3. Configure each item as follows, and save the settings by clicking "SAVE".
    SAML/IdP Metadata

    Select "XML", then copy the metadata

    you saved from TrustLogin and paste it in

    SAML Endpoint URL Copy this value and keep a note of it
    Auto-provision collaborators Uncheck this box

Return to the TrustLogin Admin Page again.

  1. In "Service Provider Settings", enter the "SAML Endpoint URL" you noted from BugSnag into "ACS URL to Service".

  2. Click the "Register" button to save.

  3. Add the administrator performing the test as a member of the created SAML app.
    For instructions on how to add a member, see TrustLogin User Configuration below.

BugSnag Settings (Continued)

  1. Click the "BugSnag (SAML)" app from TrustLogin and check whether SSO succeeds.

  2. After SSO succeeds, the "Force your team to log in via your SSO provider" option becomes available to check. (Note: This is an optional item.) Check it if needed, and click "SAVE".
    If you check this box, logging in with an email address and password will result in no longer being able to access the organization's dashboard.

TrustLogin User Configuration

① When Users Add the App from My Page

  1. Click the "Add App" button on "My Page".
  2. On the "Register App" screen, select "BugSnag (SAML)" and click the "Next" button in the upper right of the screen.
  3. If you want to change the "Display Name," enter it, then click the "Register" button.

② When Administrators Add Members

  1. In the "Admin Page > Apps" menu, search for and click the "BugSnag (SAML)" app.
  2. Click "Add Member," select the user to add from the member list, and click the "Register" button to add them.
