How to Configure SAML Authentication for Brightcove Gallery

Prerequisites

  • Prior setup is required in Brightcove Gallery.

  • You must have already created an account in Brightcove Gallery using the same email address as TrustLogin.

TrustLogin Admin Page Settings

  1. Log in to TrustLogin, open the "Admin Page > Apps" menu, and click the "Register App" button in the upper right of the screen.

  2. Search on the "Register Corporate App" screen and select "Brightcove Gallery (SAML)".

  3. From "Identity Provider Information," download the metadata using the "Download Metadata" button.

Now, switch to the configuration on the Brightcove Gallery side.
Do not click the "Register" button yet — open the Brightcove admin screen in a separate window.

Brightcove Gallery Settings

  1. Open "Gallery" from the left menu, and click the gear icon to the right of "Experiences."

  2. Click "Access Control Profiles > Create Profile."

  3. Configure each item as follows, then save by clicking the "Save" button.
    Name

    Any name you like Note: Please enter using half-width alphanumeric characters.

    Time Any time you like
    SSO Check the box
    Import SSO Metadata Import the "metadata" downloaded from TrustLogin

  4. Click the "Metadata URL" of the profile you created to obtain the Brightcove Gallery "metadata."

  5. Return to "Experiences" and select the experience to which you want to apply SAML authentication.

  6. Open "Site Settings > Access Control" from the left menu, and select the profile you configured from the dropdown. After saving with the "Save" button, publish the site with "Publish."

Return to the TrustLogin Admin Page again.

  1. Configure "Service Provider Settings" as follows.
    Login URL The site URL of the target experience
    Metadata Upload the "metadata" obtained from Brightcove Gallery

  2. Save by clicking the "Register" button.

TrustLogin User Settings

① When a User Adds the App from My Page

  1. Click the "Add App" button on "My Page."
  2. Select "Brightcove Gallery (SAML)" on the "Register App" screen, and click the "Next" button in the upper right of the screen.
  3. If you want to change the "Display Name," enter it, then click the "Register" button.

② When an Administrator Adds a Member

  1. In the "Admin Page > Apps" menu, search for and click the "Brightcove Gallery (SAML)" app.
  2. Click "Add Member," select the user to add from the member list, and click the "Register" button to add them.
